Your holiday by the water
Both Montiggl-Monticolo lakes lie in a tranquil spot reflecting the sky in the midst of the thick greenery of Montiggl-Monticolo wood with its wildly branching network of walking paths. They are easily accessible from the woods as well as being served by open air pools with sunbathing meadows, cafés and restaurants.
The Montiggl-Monticolo lakes may be easily reached by a bus which leaves from Tetterparkplatz car park right around the corner from Eppanerhof. It’s also worthwhile cycling out there – it takes nippy cyclists as little as 20 minutes.
There are bathing beaches on the shores of the famous Kalterer See lake, which has lent its name to the popular ‘Kalterer See’ wine made from the grapes growing beside it. Surfing, sunbathing, swimming or navigating to new shores by pedalo. The lake is 15 minutes away by car.
